PDF Modifier provides free online tools for PDF and image manipulation, including but not limited to:

PDF merging, splitting, and compression
PDF conversion to/from various formats
PDF editing, annotation, and form filling
Image compression, conversion, and editing
Document security (password protection, encryption)

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without prior notice.

3. User Responsibilities

3.1 Lawful Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes. You shall not:

Process files that contain illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable content
Process files that infringe upon intellectual property rights of others
Process files containing malware, viruses, or malicious code
Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems or other users' accounts
Use the Service for any fraudulent or deceptive purpose
Automate access to the Service without prior written consent
Interfere with or disrupt the Service or servers

3.2 File Ownership

You represent and warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all files you upload to the Service. You retain full ownership of your files. We claim no intellectual property rights over your content.

By uploading files to the Service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to process your files solely for the purpose of performing the requested operation. This license terminates immediately after processing is complete.

The Service may use third-party APIs and services (including but not limited to PDF.co, CloudConvert). Your use of these third-party services is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for the practices of these third parties.

8. Rate Limiting & Abuse

We reserve the right to:

Limit the number of requests or files processed per user
Block access for users who abuse the Service
Implement CAPTCHA or other verification methods
Restrict access from certain geographic regions or IP addresses

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including breach of these Terms.

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. All provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination shall survive.

Assignment: You may not assign these Terms without our prior written consent; we may assign freely
Force Majeure: We are not liable for delays or failures caused by circumstances beyond our reasonable control

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes become effective immediately upon posting. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. We will notify users of material changes via the website or email if applicable.
